Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on individual for a Unified Communications Software Engineer role in the beautiful Richmond, VA supporting one of our Fortune 500 clients. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:

• At least three years of IP telephony engineering experience • Proficient knowledge of IT systems including system design and programming concepts • Solid understanding of PSTN, VoIP, T1/PRI, MPLS, ATM, ISDN, SIP, H.323 and MCGP and systems inter-connectivity • Experience implementing call flows and strategies • Working knowledge and experience with voice call routing and dialing plan • Working knowledge and experience in Call Routing, ACD, IVR, Auto-attendant • Functional knowledge of SIP UC/CC architectures and deployments, in order to translate to Strategy team for reporting • Functional knowledge and exposure to API development

Desired:

• Working knowledge and exposure to Layer 2 & 3 networking technologies and best practice • Hands-on experience with Contact Center applications • Experience with Salesforce integration • Experience utilizing ETL in Data warehousing • VoIP experience, with an solid understanding of SIP peering and trunking

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the design and support VoIP infrastructure, in a multi-site LAN/WAN environment • Assisting with the implementation and support of proprietary tech to include ACD routing, IVR design and configuration • Assisting with the development of technical diagrams while documenting steps leading to the resolution • Assisting with the QoS design, testing, fine-tuning and implementation • Working with Product Teams to provide solutions to pain points in the release process
