Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer in the DMV area for a large national consulting client supporting the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering and management
- Active Certifications (CompTIA Security+ & Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA))
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Cisco Client experience and strong knowledge of IPSec and MPLS WAN connectivity
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-class networks and network security implementation
Desired Skills:
- Experience with F5 appliances and RSA appliances
- Proficiency in network automation
- Familiarity with Cisco DNAC and other network management systems
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a DoD network infrastructure, including Cisco applications (Client & DNAC), Cisco network devices, F5 appliances, and RSA appliances.
- Enhance LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture for improved performance, scalability, and capacity.
- Implement and oversee network monitoring and management systems to ensure zero downtime.
- Install, configure, and manage switches, routers, and networking devices.
- Automate repetitive networking tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
- Implement network security measures in alignment with business and security requirements.
- Conduct network performance and integrity tests and generate detailed reports.
- Develop and execute network disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all network infrastructure.
- Provide engineering support and collaborate with business partners on network solutions.
- Execute and manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
