Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer in the DMV area for a large national consulting client supporting the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and management
  • Active Certifications (CompTIA Security+ & Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA))
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Cisco Client experience and strong knowledge of IPSec and MPLS WAN connectivity
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-class networks and network security implementation

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with F5 appliances and RSA appliances
  • Proficiency in network automation
  • Familiarity with Cisco DNAC and other network management systems

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a DoD network infrastructure, including Cisco applications (Client & DNAC), Cisco network devices, F5 appliances, and RSA appliances.
  • Enhance LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture for improved performance, scalability, and capacity.
  • Implement and oversee network monitoring and management systems to ensure zero downtime.
  • Install, configure, and manage switches, routers, and networking devices.
  • Automate repetitive networking tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Implement network security measures in alignment with business and security requirements.
  • Conduct network performance and integrity tests and generate detailed reports.
  • Develop and execute network disaster recovery plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all network infrastructure.
  • Provide engineering support and collaborate with business partners on network solutions.
  • Execute and manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
