Hybrid Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting Analyst

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting Analyst to support our client in Richmond, VA. This hybrid-remote position will begin within the Financial Reporting team, with a long-term focus on supporting system modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in Fixed Assets Accounting and/or Capitalized Lease Accounting
• Strong understanding of asset capitalization, depreciation, and GAAP lease classification
• Ability to document business processes and translate them into functional system requirements

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting modules
• Experience working with ERP systems, especially in public sector or enterprise-level environments

Responsibilities:

• Embed with the Financial Reporting team to gain a deep understanding of current business processes related to fixed assets and leases
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during a broader system modernization project
• Support the discovery, documentation, and improvement of processes tied to fixed asset and lease management
• Help reduce manual workarounds and improve overall efficiency and accuracy in reporting and reconciliation
• Ensure system design aligns with real-world operational needs, helping guide the Cardinal program through a successful modernization effort
