Summit Human Capital is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure for our client in the industrial repair industry that will sit on-site in Norfolk, Virginia, supporting both the Government Services and Commercial Sectors. This candidate is a hands-on manager with strong work ethic, communication skills and the whatever it takes to get the job done mentality. This candidate has a yearning desire to lead and manage the dynamic team to continuous success and is a technology thought leader with confidence and direction. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology discipline (or commensurate significant IT experience) • Three years of experience in building and supporting networks • Current CCNP or CCNA required. May substitute years of Cisco experience and direct work-related accomplishments for certification • Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills • Prior experience in a network administration role • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution • Working knowledge of sniffer products and protocol analysis • Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016. • Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 • Minimum three years of experience in building and supporting virtual servers • Prior experience with Microsoft, Citrix or VMware virtualization technologies • Proven experience managing desktop as a service in an environment with more than 50 users • Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools • Experience with SCCM Site Maintenance tasks and deploying applications to end users using SCCM & SMS • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability • Strong team player mentality with exceptional collaboration and communication skills

Desired:

• Experience supporting and working in an O365 suite environment • Prior experience with Windows Server 2019 • MCSA or MCSE certified • Previous experience working as a Team Lead or Manager

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure computer network equipment and maintain network connectivity • Monitor network to ensure optimal performance • Create and maintain network users/permissions • Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources • Provide network support with a variety of operating systems • Provide network support to users • Assist in network design and implementation • Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades • Create technical support documentation for systems and applications • Manage configuration and deployment of virtualized desktops (desktop as a service) and applications • Install and maintain shared user software within virtualized environment • Manage Windows Server from the Operating System perspective • Rollout patches, new versions of system software and firmware of supported servers • Manage and deploy server builds, loads and upgrades • Perform regular system checks and maintenance functions as required to ensure system health • Coordinate efforts with other work groups and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure • Test disaster recovery for applications • Update parameters or changes in the configuration
