Our Comptroller you will have the opportunity to drive, optimize and grow the finance and accounting into a well oiled machine. You’ll report directly to the Chief Operating & Innovation Officer who is already transforming and scaling the business in new ways. Leveraging advanced Power BI dashboards, integrations with Quickbooks and Excel Power BI analytics, we’re looking to take it to an entirely no level.

Goal:

The goal of our Comptroller is to oversee the financial operations of the entire company, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Comptroller will be viewed as a trusted financial advisor to the Executive Leadership Team while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial performance and regulatory compliance. The Comptroller works closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy.

Needs & Role Expectations:

· Strategic

o Financial Reporting & Projections: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

o Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, and profitability analysis.

o Cash Management & Optimization: Develop cash needs, projections and optimize cash-on-hand positioning

o Budget & Variance Management & Reporting: Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts. Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

· Tactical

o Internal controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

o Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and other financial regulations. Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with external CPA & fractional CFO.

o Accounting operations: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

o Payroll processing: Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing & act as a backup to Finance & Payroll specialist

o Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee AR/AP including timeliness; act as a backup

o Systems management: Oversee QBO and other tools for managing SHC’s finances


Requirements:

· Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

· 5 years’ experience as a Comptroller with demonstrated progressive promotions of responsibility

· Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, tax laws and other financial regulations. Multi-state experience is a must.

· Proficiency in Quickbooks Online or related tools; comprehensive knowledge of Excel and techniques for ad-hoc analysis

· Attention to detail and accuracy a must

· Demonstrated team player and commitment to personal and professional growth
