Sr. UX Engineer

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote UI Developer to support our client in the cybersecurity software industry, building solutions that protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats. This position has the exciting opportunity to design and deliver intuitive user experiences that empower security professionals to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
 
Requirements:

• 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent demonstrated capability)
• Strong engineering fundamentals and sound engineering judgment
• Experience with modern front-end technologies, including React, TypeScript, testing frameworks, state management, and modern build tooling
• Proven ability to take ownership of work from concept through delivery
• Effective collaboration skills across Product, Design, and Engineering teams
• Mindset of continuous improvement and desire to strengthen software, systems, and teams
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering effectiveness and quality

 
Desired:

• Experience building or contributing to shared UI component libraries or design systems
• Experience designing or integrating with backend APIs and distributed systems
• Experience working in cybersecurity, OT, or ICS environments

 
Responsibilities:

• Own the design, implementation, and evolution of features from concept through delivery
• Make sound engineering decisions balancing user experience, technical quality, delivery, and maintainability
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to turn ambiguous problems into well-designed solutions
• Continuously identify opportunities to simplify systems and reduce technical complexity
• Drive improvements to engineering practices, tooling, and developer experience through technical leadership
• Contribute to the evolution of architecture, tooling, and engineering standards
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve engineering effectiveness, quality, and delivery

The hourly pay range for this position is $70 – $75, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
